Officers and Board Members
The Board of Directors is the official governing body of the Krewe. It is responsible for the day to day business activities and oversees its membership, various committees and special events.
The Board is elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting of Members. An elected term is for a period of three consecutive years. Each year five Board members retire and are replaced by five newly elected directors.
The first activity of the new Board each year is to elect its Captain and Line Officers. This Executive body then appoints the chairmen of the various committees which are responsible for conducting the business and activities of the Krewe.
Elected or appointed members of the Board are rewarded for faithful service by being inducted into the distinguished "Order of Neptune". They are also entitled to wear the official Officer’s uniform during their period of service on the Board and thereafter for the duration of Active or Honorary Membership status.
The Board meets monthly at a time and place determined and announced by the Captain. All members in good standing are welcome to attend any open Board meeting. If a member wishes to be heard at a Board meeting, he must make it known to the Captain who is at liberty to place the item on the agenda.
